Profile: Shane Dawson (formerly Shane Yaw) is an American entertainer, actor, singer, podcaster and comedian on Youtube. He currently lives in Los Angeles California. He's twenty five years old and has been making Youtube videos since 2008. Shane has for the most part filmed and edited most of his videos alone. His videos include sketch comedies and music parodies/videos on his main channel, vlogs on his second channel as well as the occasional gaming videos and tag videos. Shane has been a Youtube partner for years so his main source of income is ad revenue from his channels. He's well known for playing characters that he created himself including; shanaynay, s-deezy, paris, ned, fruit lupe, etc. All these characters have their own personalities, specific clothes, looks and voices. These characters are usually featured in Shane's main channel sketch videos. Many of these characters can also be featured on shirts and other merchandise which are sold both online and in stores. He releases a podcast featuring a famous celebrity or Youtube personality weekly.He also has acted in a movie called "Smiley" which was directed by fellow youtuber Michael Gallager (Totally Sketch.) Shane starred as a main male character. In late 2013 Shane announced that he had pitched an idea for a comedy show called "losin it" that was bought and is now in the developing and being created into a tv show which will be aired in the future. Shane has been a two year relationship with fellow Youtuber Lisa Schwartz (Lisbug) and they live together with their dog Unicorn. Some Youtubers that Shane has been associated with include; Joey Graceffa, Shanna Malcolm, Totally Sketch, Rebecca Black, etc. Shane has been subject for controversy since the beginning of his Youtube career. He started off as a full time Youtuber after him, his family and several other employees were fired from Jenny Craig after Shane had made a video at work and posted it online. Said video had to be removed to avoid any lawsuits. Also his videos are usually filled with adult humor, and swearing. The content usually varies from sexual content, to drug related and violence. However, being on Youtube for the long span of time he has Shane has taken it with strive and continues to make content how he wants to.

Opinion Time: Shane Dawson is one of the first Youtuber's I'd ever seen. He is hard working and very talented as a comedian and content creator. I do think however anyone who watches him should be a teenager because his content can be very innapropriate. I think he can go far as an character actor, director and comedian if he keeps doing what he's doing right now as one of the most famous Youtuber's in the past and right now and gets his tv show on the air. I think Shane has a talent of writing cute, fun little songs and even though his singing may not always be on par it is far from bad music. He's made many videos pertaining to different problems that viewers have had and he's very authentic with his feelings and emotions when it comes to these touch subjects having been through a few of them himself. He's always come off as caring and I really admire that about him.
